Before joining the Thornwood team, Eric Barbarita cut his teeth in the financial world as a consultant and small business owner. That, coupled with his experience at a national advisory firm, makes Eric the perfect mix of corporate meets mom-and-pop.

Eric is also somewhat of an expert in the alternative investment industry, specializing in 1031 Exchanges and Delaware Statutory Trusts. He holds his Series 22 (Direct Participation Programs Limited Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), and Series 65 (Uniform Combined State Law).

For Eric, there’s nothing quite as satisfying as educating and explaining investments to anyone curious—there’s nothing as empowering as making an informed decision. Careful to keep long-term goals in mind, Eric diligently customizes investment plans for every client. He’s intentional with every choice, blending concerns about broader market trends with his experience in managing risk, tax implications, and estate planning.

Originally from the East Coast, Eric attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. During his time at Cal Poly SLO, Eric discovered a passion for off-road driving, camping, and mountain biking. He’s always looking to be active, playing softball, swimming, and going on international trips whenever possible.
